I'm available to give presentations on pollen, illustration, and the writing process. I am currently illustrating my 42nd children's picture book - and I am also writing new ones.  I'm the illustrator of the 2017 Children's Choice Book Award-winning Once Upon an Elephant.  I have also illustrated many Jerry Pallotta books. 

I have illustrated books for numerous US and European publishers, some being Scholastic, Charlesbridge, Arbordale, and the American Cancer Society.  My books are award-winning and are found around the globe.  Three million copies are in print.

I travel everywhere to do research for my books.  I love researching nature, learning about our environment, and seeing things up close.  Below you will find various photos of me busy with my work; from researching before the book gets started to giving presentations after it's published.
